(201) 981-8273

Alan Tansky's career in photography spans over 25 years and in that time he has created beautiful photographic images. Over the last 15 years his focus has been on capturing the beauty, emotion, spirit and essence of dance that come from each and every dancer. With a creative eye for action shots and key moments during a performance, Alan captures each dancer's emotion in motion!
His experience has taught him that every dancer and setting is unique.
The most important thing to him in his photography is you!

Xavier Delavega:  Photography:  is the expression of the vision in the minds eye ~  I specialize in outdoor shoots delighting in adding a dynamic element to any model, dancer, or subject. Indoor settings for shoots are available as well; each will be specifially designed with your taste, costuming and vision in mind. Assistants and make-up artists are available when neccessary and upon request to ensure that your shoot yeilds the perfection you deserve. Rates are based per session, not by the hour. An average session can range anywhere from 2-5hrs. Prices vary based on complexity and location of desired shoot. Photography being my passion, I work on an outrageously reasonable fee premise. I am delighted to work closely with you to turn your vision into a reality. I enjoy working outside of the box and providing you with the photographic art necessary to promote yourself in a manner that will express the true nature of your artistic persona. www.xavierdelavega.com

Tribal Revival ~ Variations with Mimi Fontana:

Excited for the release, I was even more excited when my new copy arrived in the mail. I've known Mimi for about 6 years now. I  have taken workshops alongside of her and watched her dance too many times to count. I know her ability and talents so I had high expectations and  was not disappointed. Let me begin by stating that Tribal Revival is not for the beginner dancer. The moves and variations were designed for someone with Tribal ( specifically ATS ) experience who desires  to enhance their repertoire. One only need peruse the review at the beginning of the tape to find this out. Despite the complexity of some of the variations, Mimi's soft spoken voice and elegance make you (at least) believe that you can do it and, if not, you are going to enjoy the experience nonetheless. The names of the variations are just as fun as the variations themselves. Who else but Manhattan Tribal could come up with such creative moves as 'Hey Taxi' and 'The Times Square'. Besides the variations though the viewer should also take note of presentation. Manhatten Tribal is known for their painstakingly exact precision and timing in regards to improvisational dance along with a clean and powerful presentation. Tribal Revival is THE longest instructional video I now own with a running time of 150 minutes. You definitely get your money's worth and have a good time doing it. As well...I truly appreciated opposing views when showing movements which were executed by Mimi and one of her dancers. I find this better then the use of a mirror  as a crucial component for any improvisational format as dancers must know what's coming next from a back view! Kudos to Mimi and the lovely ladies of Manhatten for, yet again, another job well done. Recommended  for level 3 and above and/or seasoned dancers from other styles who wish to give ATS a try.
