The Drum and Dance Learning Center hosts Middle Eastern percussion
classes and is located at The Barracks Trading Post Plaza, Rt. 206 &
Elizabeth Street in Bordentown. The next session begins Sept 6, 2007.
Learn basic technique, how to create the different tones and a variety
of exciting rhythms. See how the different voices of Middle Eastern
percussion work together to create an ensemble sound. Great class for
dancers too! Please bring a doumbek. Some drums are available to borrow. Open to all levels of experience. Thursday:7:00 – 8:00pm, Middle Eastern Drum Classes (Open Level). To register call (609) 324-7383 or visit www.drumdancecenter.com
WEST AFRICAN DRUM CLASSES IN BORDENTOWN
The Drum and Dance Learning Center hosts West African drum classes and
is located at The Barracks Trading Post Plaza, Rt. 206 & Elizabeth Street in Bordentown. The next session begins September 6, 2007.Learn basic technique, how to create the different tones and a variety of traditional rhythms. See how the drums in a djembe orchestra play together to create complex polyrhythmic music. Great class for dancers

Chris Marashlian, Middle Eastern Musician: I have performed on over 40 Middle Eastern/Arabic/Greek/Turkish/Armenian/English CDs, records, etc over the past 35 years. Most recently I have completed production on two major projects. The first is an all original music Bellydance routine CD which is specific to a 7, 10, 15 and 20 minute Bellydance routine and complete with drum solos, plus 3 bonus tracks. Perfect for dancers to dance out at clubs, gigs, small restaurants etc. when there is no live music. The other is an all instrumental, Greek, easy listening/ relaxation type CD to cool down, unwind and relax with after a stressful day.
